Description: Mismatched barrel, matching numbers on extension, frame, safety bar, and safety.
Condition: EXCELLENT 95%-98% NON- PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED/COLD BLUE, ETC WOOD IS WORSE FOR THE PERCENT FINISH RATING GIVEN
Translation: it's a buffed rebarreled 1940 Krieghoff bundled with a well-worn 1900 American Eagle Luger. All-matching, professionally restored pistols might fetch 30% of the price of a 98% original specimen. A proper restoration might cost over $1,200, and take upwards of two years to complete. RIA's $1,400 - $1,800 lot estimate reflects these factors. But most bidders won't do the math, so the hammer price is likely to double the high end number.
