Thank you for all of your replies. I have an M-1 carbine that also emerged from rework with a wide variety of parts. I don't mind, its interesting. I'm sure there was some reason my pistol came out as it did. There's a bit of Imperial, Weimar, Nazi and East German in it (I don't see any West German connection).
