I'll just add to GT's remarks:
If you luger does not run perfectly with 8 round magazines and the ammo you choose- It won't run worth a crud with any drum.

Solve any problems with the luger and 8 rounds mags first, lube the pistol well, and also the drum.

If you have a particularly "minus" mag well, the drum may not enter fully or easily; this is also to be addressed first.
