Yep - that would be right.!!. On my early S, it's a "faint", worn shade of blue - on my Mid-S's - stronger blue - on my late S's somewhere between the two shades (Early & Mid)
Never seen an extractor with a strawed side on a Military production - BUT - I have seen one on a post war..!
