Dear All,
Please find below the complete Dust Jacket of the new Paul Mauser book.

The front was already available in the presentation brochure we provided a few days ago. You can download it (PDF) from the link below.

I would like to spend a few words about the back of the Dust Jacket.

What you see, are three incredibly nice Glass Plates Negatives related to important pistols.

In the book we do use lots of the original glass plates from the glass plate’s archive. They are unique documents and in most cases they are dated, providing the good timing when a specific prototype or pistol has been finalized. Paul Mauser was one of the first introducing the use of photography mainly for configuration control.

Of course in the book you will see the positive and the quality is very impressive.

The first one is the glass plate of the Carbine number one… yes the one tested by the Kaiser Wilhelm II in Potsdam on the 20th of August 1896. The glass plate has been taken before the test in Potsdam.

The second is the C06/08 glass plates negative. This pistol, number 23, is the one used for the patent.

The last one is a great long-barreled 1909 prototype chambered in 9 mm Parabellum.

This explains the unusual back of the Dust Jacket and I hope you will appreciate all the glass plates used in the book.
Cheers,
Mauro
