Bob, conclusions are hard to reach here without actually examining the gun. This issue is not even mentioned in Gibson's book and not one picture in the book, as I recall, shows the right side of any of the Krieghoff examples. Since these HK's are so pricey,an interested party has to have a hands on look in bright light. I find it hard to believe that the factory would make a frame without the holdopen but in the frame discussion part of the book, there seems to be some controversy as to whether Krieghoff made all their frames. This is an expensive question that may never be answered. If you end up with this piece would you be so kind to give us your conclusions?
