Default Re: "One of a kind P08"

Mark, I´d very much like to correct a misunderstanding. There´s been a long history of attempts to cash in on the Luger Parabellum since WWII. Even Mauser did it´s best with the "Commemorative" series. None of these attempts have come anywhere near to what Luger enthusiasts expected. The present Aimco is a particularly brave initiative by the manufacturers to make a modern Luger out of modern materials, using state of the art manufacturing techniques. I made the same mistake myself as I had, until then, only seen older, cheaply made copies. A gunsmith here showed me one of the first AIMCO stainless Lugers to be imported here and we took it to the range to shoot. This is the first U.S. Parabellum I have seen that has earned it´s place in the Luger tradition. Without the AIMCO, we couldn´t truly state that the Luger has had the longest production run of any other hand gun - over 100 years! Patrick
