Page 169 of Gibsonâ??s book, SN 9088 (1937) has the same type of toggle as the gun on the right. I think we are seeing a toggle variation here.

I am not completely happy with this gun; note the frosting in the safety area and the lack of machine marks. Also I am concerned about the broken â??8sâ?.

I also have a question about the E/2 on the lower frame right side, is this consistently applied enough to use as a criteria?

I am glad I found the example of a similar toggle; I am a little less suspicious.
