Can anyone tell me some more what to use and what not?
I have fired 115 grain and 124 grains without any problem.
Thanks

Hi,
Search my name and you will find at least 6 loads that are all one holers at 25 yards, all with perfect function, which can be a real problem with Lugers. The details will be in the various posts.
Best powders for me have been IMR's SR4756 and Power Pistol.
Here is an example to get you started.
Winchester commercial brass, Remington 1 1/2 pistol primers, 124 gr. Hornady FMJFP, O.A.L. 28.7mm (critical for reliable function)
Power Pistol- 5.4 grs. (full strength, three shot clover leaves all day long)
SR4756- 5.5 grs. (full strength, three shot clover leaves all day long)
HS-6- 6.2 grs. (on the hotter side but fine, two out of three touching, very clean burning)
Bullseye- 3.7 grs. (light target load, up to seven touching at one time)
Lugers are great fun to handload, once you catch on to some of the basics. They are also extremely accurate and reliable when the proper loads are shot through them. Through one of my Lugers I've fired over 3,000 rounds without any malfunctions whatsoever!
Send me a PM and I'll be happy to assist in getting you started.
Good shooting!!
