PJ, Hard to say without seeing the holster. Rub your finger along the stuff and collect some, then rub your fingers together and see if it is slick or greasy. Likely it is oil and fats leaching out of the leather. People put the goop on and later it rises to the surface. Looks like white mold but many times I have found it is not. Jerry Burney
