I would add that another commodity we have is the Filbert. Or to anyone else, domestic Hazel Nuts. When I was growing up we had a washtub full drying in our garage 12 months a year. You had to fight the neighbors to keep them from leaving boxs full on your porch in the middle of the night.
Now we have "Made in Oregon" stores that cater to the tourists. They put them in cute little 3lb gunney sacks labeled "Oregon Hazel Nuts" and sell them for $5 a lb. You can also buy a little bottle of "Genuine Oregon Rainwater" for a $1.
