Default US Test Eagle # 7742

US Test Eagle # 7742 spotted at the SE NAPCA event.

It was a nice 97-98% finish that appeared original. It had the "42" on the left side of the take-down lever, type 2 thumb safety, and no "Germany" anywhere.

Other LF members who had a chance to see it were Tom B, Tom A., Leo L, and Derek S...maybe a few more.

Seller did not know it was an out-of-range Test Eagle, so I asked Charlie Kenyon to look it over and he confirmed it was, indeed, a US Test Eagle.

The only thing I did not like about the piece is that the frame "ear" recesses had wavy, buffed areas...not the finely machined milling marks you usually see if not polished completely flat. I asked Kenyon about this but he said that was okay...I personally would not have bought it, but I was not going to debate with Kenyon...

I think the piece sold for $ 4K later in the day and I made a mental note about who bought it...
