Hi:

I doubt that that solid frame would bend all that easily, as the metal is extremely tough.

I have had this problem before, too.

For instance, my 1917 DWM magazine will barely fit in my 1941 byf. If inserted, it is almost impossible to remove (especially, with slightly oiled fingers).

No, I don't think that this is an unusual problem. If the magazine is matched to the Luger, I would be very surprised.

I would try another vintage magazine or buy an new Mec-Gar.
