Auctions etc
Hey there Steve -
I always list at about a third or so less than the minimum I'd really like to get out of something, to attract interest on an item.
Sometimes you get scorched with "little to no bids" and an item goes really low, but having plenty of detailed photos generally makes people feel comfortable to bid if the item is what they want.
Looks like I won't take a beating on this one, then again you never know who's going to really pay at the end of an auction. Somebody put an early bid on this who literally had an "F" rating, I blocked them from further bids, then I get the "why'dja do dat?? I was gonna pay a fortune..." (they'd skipped out of paying on auctions in the past).
Always fun... that said, with the infrequent selling I do, I've had good luck with good people showing up. And I always try to include something extra if I can as a 'thank you' for the buyer, especially if they paid "more than I'd hoped for" on an auction.
Now if only I had the wowie-special photographic lights, a NASA hidden reserve price, and a gold plating rig around here and some mother-of-bowling-ball 'original' grips... I'd be LugerCorpProfitInc LOL.
