I was told over and over how fool proof Glocks were. "They never malfunction" I finally gritted my tradionalist teeth and bought a 9MM. It jammed on the 3rd round of the first mag I ran through it. I took it back to the dealer. Something was broken in it. Don't remember what now.

About 5 yrs later I wanted an unobtrusive carry gun. I was offered a good deal on a Glock .40 S&W. So I figured why not. Took it out the first time and it would fire every 2nd or 3rd pull of the trigger. The striker hung up in between.

Long story short. You could n't run fast enough to give me a "GLAACK".

Several years ago Portland OR was one of the first agencies in the state to go to the Glock. Shortly after a Portland Motor officer was riding his bike and his Glock discharged in the holster and hit him in the leg, and a woman standing nearby was struck in the face by a fragment of the bullet from the pavement.

I know what they say about Glocks, but I wouldn't own one. I carry a S&W 640 .357, my Sig .45 P220 or a Walther PP in .22
