Default Luger Logo/Proofs fill-in (white marks, straw)

I know this topic was discussed a few months ago, but wanted to bring it up again.

I know most of you all have some sort of WHITE or Strawed finish to some of the lugers' logos/manufacturing marks. Like, filled in with a chalk, or substance? Or, I noticed some guns had a 'straw' finish on the logos.

Logos equalling: DWM, S/42, byf, serial numbers, proof-marks, etc.... They are white or strawed.

How is this process done? And, I know it's not original, but it really looks good when refinished! I was wanting mine like this also. Ted will be finishing my gun sometime (grin), and maybe he does this ?

But, also curious how you do the 'white' logo fillins too. This would look good on some other guns I own. What type of substance/process is done to get that detail?

Thanks everyone!
