The blood pitting is normally has a "watery" appearance to the pitted area and is void of any bluing. It does not have the "peppery" pitting that you usually see and are accustomed to on a firearm. It is amazing how acid blood actually is and if it is not wiped from the blued surface very quickly and oil applied, the bluing will be gone in that area. If you have any photos that you can post on the Forum, we can determine very quick if it is bllod or water type pitting.
