First, here is an example of a sear safety, it is the bar on top. The t below is where a magazine safety would have been installed.




Police were used in the war, but it depends on the unit. Some police were sent into occupied countries and were very heavy handed. Some police weapons were turned over to the military.

If you are strictly looking for a military gun, then a police is a maybe and not a for sure.
