Hi,

Noticed Jan Still's Weimar Lugers has a picture of a Police Officers Instruction Manual, printed in 1923, by, you guessed correctly 'Verlag Eisenschmidt', and most interestingly written by 'Polizeihauptmann Schmidt'.

It appears our Mr. Schmidt was a police officer in his first career, and kept writing and publishing well into the 1950s.
