Like the 1900 US Test Trial Lugers, I have been tracking Cartridge Counter Lugers over the years. I have recorded observations for all but nine of the original 50 pieces, plus one prototype 10000B-series example with Cartridge Counter grips and magazines. Unfortunately, some of the serial numbers have appeared on more than one Luger, so fakes abound. Send me an e-mail to rwood1@elp.rr.com if you want to discuss this some more off line. I will need to know the serial number of your gun to see if it is on my list or one of the missing ones.

As to what to tell the wife, I would suggest the truth at the earliest opportunity, preferably after a nice dinner and night out accompanied by a small but thoughtful gift for putting up with your addiction. Best of luck.
