And excellant work Ed. Still the only conclusion I can come up with is the suffix is a "q" with the top half or 2/3 of the O part of the "q" missing. The bottom part that is there is very deeply stamped and then begins to thin out just above the the bottom portion of the O part of the "q". Just wished I had a digital camera. But the new(another) gun vs. camera debate hasn't changed yet
Sorry to change topics but if it is Serial # 54q what type of mag. would match the gun.
