I think the "clips" vs "magazines" arguement is a bit funny (no offense John). MANY of the early articles and gun magazines such as Guns and Ammo (which may not be the best, but were still read by many of you), refer to Luger Magazines as clips.

I prefer the term magazine also, but if you look it up in the dictionary, it will list clip and magazine as interchangeable.

In the US Army, we referred to our 45 magazines as clips, probably becasue the M16A1 and then A2 use magazines / or clips. I am sure it is a hold over from Garands etc.?

So, I find it funny that luger collectors get up-tight about this term?
