I once worked, for a few years, in NE Ohio where, when my coworkers heard that I was from Virginia, they responded "oh a hillbilly."

To those folks then and to some here assembled now, I would point out that it was folks who lived along the Blue Ridge in Virginia that crafted, not only the Declaration of Independence but also the Constitution of the United States.

Many of us also go to sleep at night with our doors unlocked unlike those of you in the "croissant belt."

As my grandmother remarked many years ago " if we had it our way, you'ld need a passport to visit."
