Quite interesting! I have a 1911 Erfurt SN 2607 marked 12 T.S.1.205 (12 Train Battalion 1st Sanitat Co. weapon #205) which has been "X" out and remarked 102.R.61 (102 Inf. Reg, 6th Co, weapon #1).
