There are some who used to believe that Brown Holsters were strictly for Luftwaffe use. This has mostly been disproven, as they were used by many branches. {{I am NO expert on holsters

Brown holsters were used for military and police in WW2 although black is the primary color you see. From Jan Stills book third reich lugers "Military holsters range in color from black to tan and are dated 1932 to 1944"
