Me too... I would love to know how to distinguish this holster from a repro...

This holster looks 'old' but not old enough to me to be genuine... My initial thoughts were that it was a repro holster from about 3 decades ago...if it is really a genuine Navy holster... what are the signs to look for...

this leather and the brass closures just don't look to be early 19th century to me...
