Peter, This looks authentic to me. You can see that the Eagle M is very much like the maker mark in looks, wear, deepness etc.

I see many fake Navy holsters offered on eBay etc. and you can always tell when someone has added an Eagle M...It is generally deeper than the original marks found on the holster and looks fresh. Always suspect a leather holster mark that looks like it was put on yesterday. It probably was.
