cpgor, I have to agree with Ron, The holster looks original to me. His second point is valid as well, the stitching color may have been achieved by some outside colorant being applied. I can see one photo of the inside and the color appears to be a cream white. Orange thread was used mostly on WW1 era holsters and as Ron says it was a preservative to prevent microscopic infestation from rotting the thread.

You might ask the seller if the thread that can be seen on the inside is the same color as the outside. If it is different then some other source of color was applied to the exterior. Jerry Burney
