Dwight,

The back of your belt clip spring should look like this:

There is a tab at the bottom of the clip

That fits into a retainer on the holster

The studs on the top of the clip look like this

The two outside studs go into the holes/slots at the top of the holster and when you slide the clip down, the center stud drops into the center hole and locks the assembly in place

The whole mess ends up looking like this:
