This is the responce I put on Jan Stills site...


Yes, this holster wins an award for being as phony as John Kerry's purple hearts...I think he qualifies for two owies and a boo boo.

You will notice from the back, it is made like a WW1 holster. The hinge is seperate, there is no stitching line midway down to hold the interior lining and there is no support panel to the back spine of the magazine pouch. This would be impossible on a 1940 holster. FAKE! You noticed several items yourself. These are also pertinant.
You are right, there are many succesful attempts to hoodwink the unsuspecting novice on FleaBay. I have noticed over the last few months many offerings that were reproholsters that had been wet and moldy. People paid handsome sums for these, as is the fellow that is high bidder on this one, over a hundred fifty if memory serves. This will be tuition money for those enrolled in Luger Leather University and have not yet bought their books....Or studied them. I am sure there will be much more of this chicanery in future. Takes a sharp eye sometimes but look for the details...Jerry Burney
