Morris, I have expounded greatly in the past about the lack of quality of many of the reproductions in past postings. Do a search and I am sure you will get some to come up. I am too busy with holster repairs to do it again.
I will say one thing, I do not compete with the general run of the mill repro Luger holster makers. I stick to either what they do not make, such as baby Luger holsters or what they make that high end collectors will not tolerate. The Imperial type 1 or 2 6" Navy holster is one of my favorites. The repro's have their place and they are certainly inexpensive enough.
I always recommend that you find an original to suit your purposes if you can afford it. They hold their value and are likely to be worth more than what you paid years later. Besides, they are lovely and a piece of history you can be proud of, the German saddlers who made them knew what they were about. Jerry Burney
