Post Hello folks

Hello everyone,
I have recently been granted access to this forum and it is immediately apparent that there are a number of very knowledgeable Luger experts here. I have a model 1900 American Eagle that I inherited from my father. He obtained the pistol while in the Navy during WWII. The pistol is all origonal and all the numbers match including the grip panels. As a young boy of 10 I remember shooting this pistol with my dad. I can honestly say the Luger was the first pistol I ever shot. I basically grew up with this pistol in the house. I learned to field strip it before I was 12. It is currently safely tucked away in my safe. Over the years I got interested in other firearms especially the cowboy guns of the post civil war era. But I have never been very far away from my 1900. I am currently completing a 1911 build and I have a Colt 1911 as my main carry weapon. I will probably just read and learn from you folks for awhile. I just recently completed a restoration of a 1st gen Colt SAA that took 3 1/2 years to complete and I may consider opinions on restoring my 1900 at some point. I have never taken any photos of the Luger but my wife recently bought a new digital camera so I may change that. Anyway thanks for allowing be to join you!
