Mike, Many Navies and Artillery lugers had their barrels shortened or rebarrelled to 4" after WW1, so I'd consider this a righteous depot Weimar rework. The 1920 marking above the 1916 on the chamber is not really a date, but indicates that this was one of the 100K guns allowed to the Weirmar army by the Versailles tready. TH
