You are right, BlindJim. If you have been following posts both on this Forum and Still's, you would be aware that authenticating Navy Lugers is a science into itself, with much faking and "quicksand" awaiting the newbie and wannabe collector, especially with 1917 models. Does your Luger have the proper Navy rear adjustable site? Those Simson proof marks would be VERY suspect for a Navy, and C/M proofs should be on the left side of the receiver. Looking forward to your pictures.
