Thanks for the kind words! Magazine is unmarked wood-bottom that came with the gun. It has proper looking plated sheet-metal body, round spring and, examined closely, looks old.

The gun is a shooter - but nice. I got it at a gun show a few months ago, when I knew nothing about Lugers or collecting. All metal parts match except holdopen lever (I've had it all the way apart). Grips aren't numbered to the gun but are definitely old. Finish is rust blue to best I can determine, but it seems too perfect and frame doesn't look lily white inside. Strawing is very clean but not 100%. Bore and rifling are flawless. Proofs and many other details are right for a 1918 DWM military.
