Hello Ron,

Welcome to the Forum.

I will assume your Arty is by "DWM" and not by "Erfurt". Erfurt arty's are usually only dated 1914 (with a controversial one or two pistols bearing a 1915 and a 1917 date). DWM was the predominant maker of the Arty's.

If your piece is close to the Arty that Jerry just described, I think it will usually fetch between $ 1600-2000 here in CA-State.

I mention this, as I see from your profile you live in No. California.

I think Jerry was very lucky to get a very excellent deal, that I just do not see here in CA-State...

$ 1200 normally fetches a worn Arty, at 50-60% bluing and very little straw left...and a pretty worn barrel bore.

And yes, what a wonderful wife you describe...!

p.s. I use the term "Arty" as a slang for Artillery; which is officially known as the Lange Pistole or LP-08 model...Some folks here do not like the term "Arty"...

Regards,

Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />
