From your single picture it seems you have a 1920 Commercial - also called an "Alphabet" Commercial - Luger. Your full serial number is 7017 "o". I placed the letter "o" in quotation marks to prevent it from being mistaken as a zero. Note that the last two digits of the serial number are stamped under the sideplate and locking bolt (take-down lever). Until the "Alphabet" commercial Lugers appeared in the early 1920's, commercial Lugers didn't have a suffix letter in the serial number and were in the high 5-digit range. With the Alphabet Lugers, they reverted to four digits and a suffix letter. Serial number placement and proofs were consistent with previous commercial Lugers.

As Dwight has said, they are the most common of all Lugers but in 90% or better condition and all-matching, they bring a fair price and are a great way to begin a Luger collection. Yours appears to easily be 90% if the rest of the gun matches what I can see. They are also great shooters.... very accurate. Your pistol is probably in .30 caliber.
