[Johnny C. Kitchens]

I acquired am Aimco Luger this weekend (01-04-03), unfired. From all
the pictures I see here, variations are certainly turning up, like the
orginals. Mine is neither a Mitchell or Stoeger. The four digit serial
number is on the right above the trigger. I thought it was interesting
that the manual talked about red and green dots for the safety, and mine
doesn't have either, but does say safe. The dealer even had a story for
the gun, I think they all do. It was part of a set of four he shipped to
a man in Chicago a couple of years ago. The man died less than a week
later. His wife contacted the dealer sometime late last year and asked
if he wanted buy them back. He did, and this was the last of the four.
It was the only one I saw at the gun show, at Market Hall in Dallas Texas.
I feel lucky as that is exactly what I went to the show looking for. I'll
post some pictures soon, to add to the collection already started...

On another note, I noticed that one of the pictures shows raised checkering
on the metal parts, while the rest, including mine have depressed checkering,
or should I call that knurling. Is the raised checkering rare??? Just wondering...
