Jerry.B's initial post seems to contradict what your dealer told you...
There is not a great demand for this gun simply because many folks do not like stainless steel, and as much as we all love the design of the Luger, it simply isn't state of the art for a personal defense gun. It's appeal is primarily historical. I hope AIMCO never decides to stop production...
He has told several members of plans to produce a .45 caliber model in the next year or so... these should have some brisk sales in the first few months... I don't know many Luger enthusiasts that wouldn't want one...
