I do not know the complete answer to your grip question. Both of mine have grip safeties and the safety is longer than that on my 1906 plus the stainless grip safety requires a cutout on both grips and not just the left. So the models with a grip safety are not interchangeable with vintage. If yours does not have a grip safety I do not know if it will interchange or not.

My 9mm likes Sellior & Bellot ammo the best. I get it at a local show for $5.50/50 so it is fairly inexpensive. That is what they test with at the factory in Texas.

Does yours have a date stamped on the chamber? How about a grip safety? Post some pictures if you can. If you do not have a digital camera, a flatbed scanner works just fine. We are always interested in more photos and John can add them to the stainless steel gallery.
