I have tryed to explain it on an earlyer post, here it goes;
The word "HÃ?Â¥vamÃ?Â¥l" means "The speek of the tall" and contains old norwegian "liferules" or "words of wisdom" written around 10 up to 13 century (wiking erea). Direct translation from v. 38 is:
"Weapons to menn on hill not to walk a step from, unknown when on road outside it can be question aboud spear."
So.. if your out in the world, always keep your weapon close to you. I guess the world has not changed that mutch I'm afraid..
