Frank, the story does not say whether it was a Mauser or not. I imagine that the writer just figured it for a Luger or "zero-eight" as he called it. You are right that it could be one of several different variations. Just thought it was interesting that he mentioned the number and the possibility that it is around and documented.

Heinz, I think your right that we just might see that one in a couple of weeks with documentation and everything.
