It is always good to hear from someone who has "been there, done that, got the t-shirt"!
Firearms import and export is not for the fainthearted, and usually is more grief than it is worth. But for an antique weapon, it should be a straightforward and relatively simple matter. Thanks for providing a point of contact at BATF who knows the rules and hopefully can provide correct answers.
