I looked at the site on "Why everybody hated the Waffwn SS.
As one whos friends were there I say Its A myth and Fairy story that the Waffen SS were ever outstanding soldiers except when they had the advantage.
In defense of my WW-2 comrades at arms I'm totally shocked that WSS Troops are so highly praised as the best of WW-2.
Has no one heard of Bastogne Where a handful of American Airbourne Troopers Cut off, Surrounded,
Outnumbered 7 to 1, Socked in by the weather, running low on supplies, and half frozen, held off the best that Hitlers General Staff could throw at them.
And when arrogantly offered a opportunity to surrender put forth the most famous four letter word ever heard by a German Officer. "NUTS" was all the answer they got. and when the relief column finally broke through they refused to wait for ambulances and "Route Marched Out under Their Own Power".
The worlds Best in WW-2, NUTS", the best of the Waffen SS was never fit to shine the shoes of any of "Those Bloody Battered Bastards of Bastogne", as they were lovingly called by the troops that relieved them.
That Waffen SS crap is a myth that needs correcting every where it appears.
