Wow..

Where the heck did this thread come from????

Thor - the trip Jen and I had to that meeting was absolutely terrific..!!! It was one of the highlights of my collecting....

I remember meeting all the folks;

Herb and his wonderful wife - setting Jen and I up at the Military installation (and getting STOPPED as we wandered into restricted areas that next morning. Fortunately, I made frieds with eth Staff Sarget on duty when we checked in - and he knew I was harmless - just an old dub who gets lost with a compass...!! )..

Ed T. getting into the main gate - where they actually believed I would VOUCH for him!! (LOL!!!!!!!) ...

Walking into the Shattuck mansion for the first and last time - and gasping for oxygen being overcome by the "sight".....

Meeting you and Natalie for the first time - and becoming lifelong buddies for that... Oh - that was the time you asked me to host your website, right?? ;

Meeting Frank - and instantly looking up to him - and paying him exactly $1... Some things will never change....

GT's house and dinner - which was absolutely amazing..... The food, the folks, G.T.'s family.. AND HIS DAMN COLLECTION OF P 38S which was terrific!!!

Meeting Ron Wood - who kept trying to tell me Lugers WERE MADE before HK started (hmmm..?? I still question that one... ), but had some pieces I could hardly get over.... . He actually had me hooked on a Fat Barrel, a Swiss and a... Nevermind... ....

Hugh - who pulled out a "baby" in pieces so we could all gawk.... And we did......

Luke - who was the "quiet guy" -who helped me understand "what was what" on all Ralph's shelves;

Bill F.??? Bob Tracy??? Bill S...???? Yea - there are so many more...

Thanks Thor for posting this.. It brought back some great times with terrific people. We'll do it again....

Count on it... I know I do.....
