Doug has a point. Last year a fellow came up to my table at the Tulsa show with a byf42 in a Lahti holster with two bakelite mags. It had bullseye grips.
I told him it was East German and I had no interest. He whined a lot about it being a family gun. I looked at it closely. Turns out to be a 98% byf that someone put "new" grips on. I bought it at a fair price and forwarded it to a new home. I was not the first to be offered this gun.
It pays to look carefully and ask alot of questions. Most often it doesn't pay off but sometimes...
