Jim,

It sounds like a "jewel" of a Luger! You have come to the right place to get a value for the pistol, but we need a little more information to be correct. the pistol sounds like a Police Banner and the holster definetly sounds like a Police holster. This will make a big difference in value over a Military rig.

If you can got to the Techinical Information section of the Forum and find the Luger Identification Sheets and provide us with the Waffenamt stamps ID of all stamps. Just a normal Military Luger in this condition would be valued at approx. $2200-2300 in this perfect condition and the Police would be more and I would suspect it would be in the $2800 range and maybe even more. I hope some of the other Luger Gurus will help me on the value.
