Ed, Wes is right. Not all that cold either. That's why I leave for AZ during the Winter.

Now when you take his sage advice about climbing a 14eener be sure you go by yourself because at high altitude you can get confused about dropping your pants, mooning and kissing. You want to be alone when the confusion sets in, know what I mean?

I live near Salida in the Southern central part of the State. Three hours from Denver. I leave here Oct 1st and come back May 1st. You will have six months to settle in before I get back....

Bring your boonie hat because the sun will appear, not like the Seattle area. Sometimes it rains here but not often.
