Ted you really nailed it. I'm the same way with all my "toys", I even delay opening the box for awhile to really let the anticipation build, then pull the gun out a little at a time, agonizing over every little ding, or glorying in each positive detail. Takes longer with rifles. I then disassemble, clean, reassemble and search out a book. One of the longest weeks on my life was waiting for my Lugers, even driving 40 miles to pick them up at the FEDEX office when I missed their delivery. But I have shooters, and they don't gather dust, I shoot them most every week, jams and all, then I get to clean 'em.
