Alright, gentlemen. I'm going to try to put this in the right perspective but don't know if I really can. When I was eighteen I rode aross the border from Vietnam to Cambodia behind a .50 cal machine gun on a tank. That was exciting. When I was 21 I got hit by lightning, that was exciting.
When I was 23 I hitched across Europe with a stunningly beautiful German girl (now my wife). That was real exciting . When I was 40 I got in a shoot out with some idiots out in the country who thought an old man on a bicycle would be fun to mess with. That was exciting. When I was 45 I got attacked by a red tail hawk on my bicycle out in the country. Exciting. Three years ago I was run over by a Humvee that crushed my chest. That was exciting. But the only time I ever have been speechless is when I opened the box and got my Luger back. I have always admired Lugers but never could imagine one could look that good. At first I thought Ted made a terrible mistake and sent me the wrong one. The bluing is flawless, the strawing perfect, and the combination of the fire blued parts set it off in a package that is simply outstanding. Thank you Ted. Thanks for the attention to historical detail for a deserving item of military and firearms history. Gentlemen, this was a 1918 nonmatching Erfurt. You ought to see it now.
